Probably try to get my identity back. I’m not trying to escape anything currently, and not having documentation is a dangerous thing in the world these days.
The rich ladies getting square “Chad” jaws really throw me off. I don’t understand the appeal, who wants a super wide chin?
Maybe go on a site like meetup or find local events you are interested in. Go out and do something with strangers: help a charity, go on an organized hike, take a language class, do some volunteering.
Just hanging at the park putting out the vibe likely won’t get you where you want to be.
Me and my people are bullied less, it is true.
I killed Instagram and Whatsapp recently when Mark started buddying up to Trump.
Deleted Twitter shortly after Elon took over, which bummed me out since it was a good place for software development information.
Quit reddit after the API ordeal when I didn’t want to use the official client.
I was a long time user of each platform, and I was bummed when I had to leave each.
Now I have bluesky, lemmy, mastodon, and some occasional discord servers I hangout on. I miss Instagram as a time waster, but I’ll survive without funny dog videos and fitness models.
I agree, people need to be able to focus on something else for a few hours on a Sunday.
Hulu was my Netflix alternative. If they start showing me ads I’m done with them too. Hopefully this was added for live events, sports, etc, but I don’t know if they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

We’re further from stomping it dead than ever before
I’d upload a few languages. Instantly being able to speak and read an array of languages and traveling the world would be fun.
That’s how I treat them. Maybe with a bit more nuance: I’ll upvote for something funny, informative things, or general good takes. I’ll downvote if someone has a bad take, is unnecessarily mean, or is generally incoherent.
If the comment doesn’t spark a reaction I just keep scrolling.

I work because I enjoy healthcare, food, and shelter. The system has always been rigged, so you just have to find something you enjoy (or can tolerate doing). Ideally try to think about things that make you happy and can pay you, and maybe try doing something in that field.
When I go on vacation to tropical states there are always some overly tanned boat captains that just drive drunk tourists around and get paid decently well for it. I always think about those guys when I’m having a hard day at work, “man, they sure figured it out”
I mute them, look away, or go to another room. Can’t let the bastards win…
Replace Swift with Putin and I’m back on board.
I’ll get up and go to another room. Try to read or do something until I get sleepy and try again.
