You included the Yemeni Civil War. Same situation.
Nice try #1.
You didn’t say “no war that they started,” you said “no wars, that’s a fact,” which I was responding to and proving false.

Nice try? WTF are you on about?
China, as a part of the U.N., has been taking part in the Mali war. Here is an article from 2016 in which officials address this fact.
China now has more than 2,400 peacekeepers in Mali and other African countries, she said, adding that the country would continue to positively contribute to U.N. peacekeeping missions to help ensure peace and stability in Africa.
The most dystopian thing I’ve seen… Fuck, idk, it’s all pretty dystopian these days, I’ve lost count
Yeah, the Bell Riots are considered to be one of the biggest turning points for humanity in Star Trek.
But I think we have what it takes to reach that point and just keep digging.
My ass under Combine rule…
Gonna be real, the only thing this offers that I could want, I already have set up through Playnite…
In fact, I’d say this looks really kinda bad. Just about everything you charge for is just leveraging some service or tool someone else already made for free.
Steam has a decade of different design choices stacked on top of each other. It’s weird AF that they just don’t update some of their old styles, but what’re gonna do?
Bro thinks Russia’s left-wing.
Not so much self-hosting related (though I do run a Jellyfin server on this PC), but within the past week, I was sure I was gonna have to reinstall my os (and probably take the opportunity to jump distros) because audio just would not work. Everything seemed to think it was fine. Even OBS was picking up the audio, but there was no output. Persisted through reboots and everything.
I have no idea what happened to cause it or fix it.
What’s this, a sudden influx of votes and comments that visibly oppose the votes and comments that came from the intended community, made apparent by older, lower-visibility comments such as those under folds having completely opposite positions and ratings? Why that almost sounds like a brigade! Surely not, we left those behind on Reddit, right?
Everybody talks about “why not Mastodon” in the comments of these. I thought about that for a long while back when I used Mastodon, and I have an answer: discoverability. ActivityPub does not make things easy to find, which makes a Twitter-like service even more like screaming into the void. It effectively becomes “bring your own audience,” and tends to only amplify the voices that are already the loudest, though as a consequence of the backend, rather than a malicious choice like Twitter.
Buddy, if you knew the stakes and still chose not to vote because of some moral quandary or, and this is my favorite excuse that I’ve heard so many times here on Lemmy, because the Dems need to “learn a lesson,” you hold just as much blame as anyone. Waiting out Trump’s ancient ass in a world that isn’t on fire before trying to force change was just too good for you, and now we’re all gonna fucking burn for your idealism and need for immediate gratification.
Simple, because those are the people it should matter to. Those are the people with the most to lose. Those are the people who are more likely to have LGBTQ+ friends and family. The moderates don’t give a shit and should never have been catered to in the first place, but these people tossed aside the people and things they claim to love in order to make a stand. That’s why I expect more from them, because they’re in a position to be more hurt by it.
Anyone with the slightest sense of empathy or self-interest should look at Trump and think “It would behoove me keep that out of power.”
This is happening because the site is shitty so don’t use the shitty site. Sounds pretty f’n on-point to me.
Alright, I’m done with your lying and moving goalposts. I’m gonna do what I always do with people who act in bad faith and block you.
But first, I’ll say, I cited the Mali civil war because it’s ongoing. They were also one of two parties in the Sino-Vietnamese war after Vietnam invaded Cambodia. This was in 1979, with ongoing smaller conflicts until the 90s.
They also took control of the Paracel Islands during the Vietnam War, 1974.
And while neither of these were started by China, your original stance didn’t include that little asterisk, you just moved the goalposts when you were proven wrong by the proud, public admission of Chinese officials.
While China may not have been involved in many conflicts, or started any of them themselves, neither of these classifiers were a part of your original position, and you only started shifting when people proved you wrong. You’re a petulant child who can’t stand to say “I was wrong.”
