I like Rachmnanoff’s Isle of the Dead, its pleasantly menacing

Edit: yall are taking elevator too literally haha, the idea is elevator/background/ambient music that sets a temperature but not a focus

    bossa nova jazz.

I want the people to be relaxed and unsuspecting of the lazers, sharks, flame throwers and TSA agents they are about to experience.

unsuspecting screams are so much better to enjoy than the suspecting ones. I think it’s the surprise.

You are sooooooo right. Why would you want to give up any more element of surprise insofar as can even be possible for anyone popping in to an evil lair in the first place? Makes zero sense

right?? just let them fall into an unsuspecting feeling that they’re about to meet their tax accountant and when the doors open, BAM! full cavity search by TSA followed by low powered lasers in their eyes and some roasty toasty via flame throwers.

they’ll run straight to the water feature, which, unknown to them, is filled with sharks.

that’ll teach those Mormons from knocking on my door!

100% this. A Vampiric Tango. I’ve been building my world lately and one nation is the Vampirium of Lemriss. Been listening to this for some inspiration. A beautiful blend of seductive and menacing.

The stampede music that Simba was caught up in, in the lion king animated film.

I’m torn between silence and something really happy and upbeat like PonPonPon.

The silence forces then to face their own inner demons, but the upbeat music will ruin their badass aesthetic.
