Mine is Gladiator. The Disney Tarzan soundtrack is great too. What are your favorite soundtracks?
Oh Brother Where Art Thou is a good one.
A few of my favs, in no particular order:
- The Lord of the Rings trilogy
- Tron: Legacy
- Oblivion
- Gladiator
- Star Wars (especially Episode I)
- Interestellar
- Lock stock and two smoking barrels
- o’ brother where art thou
- tron (daft punk)
2001: A Space Odyssey. Ligeti scared the shit out of me as a kid, and I love it.
A few that spring to mind…
Vertigo
Psycho
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Mulholland Drive
All 3 LOTR films
Star Wars OT
Indiana Jones (especially Raiders)
The Sweet Smell of SuccessGuardians of the Galaxy 1 and Footloose are probably my favorites of all time. It’s really hard to find soundtracks with a better collection of absolutely amazing songs imo.
My favorite is the soundtrack to Princess Mononoke, composed by Joe Hisaishi.
Escape from New York.
Oldboy.
Pump Up The Volume
Tron Legacy.
One of the few soundtracks I can listen from front to back.
Amélie
Highlander
Haven’t seen anyone mention Cinema Paradiso or The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Both are wildly different. Ennio Morricone is a genius.
There’s also The Incredibles - Michael Giacchino The Greatest Showman - Various Artists
Saving Private Ryan - John Williams
The Prince of Egypt - Hans Zimmer
The Gospel of John - Jeff Dann (great middle eastern vibe)Last Samurai is super chill
Bad Company (Trevor Rabin)
Starship Troopers (Basil Poledouris)
Star Trek 2009 (Michael Giacchino)
The Mask Of Zorro (James Horner)
