deportation is just a free ticket back, if she was going to ditch the US anyway. ICE would probably find a way to make deportation painful. Its not duty for them, its clearly hatred-- maybe with a sprinkling of shame and involuntary celibacy. Its be interesting to somewhat understand the psychology of the people joining ICE and why they chose that.
